One of the most interesting segments comes at the end when Mr. Lipton asks them a series of questions which require them to give the audience a glimpse of their true selves. I like the questions so much, I thought I would ask you some of them to share with everyone.

What turns me off creatively, spiritually, and emotionally, is stress. I love the sound of pure laughter, rain on the roof, and, a basketball swoosh. I hate the noise of nail files, nails on a chalkboard, Fake laughs,and a brick in basketball. I would like to try to be a doctor,a cop, or a physical therapist. ReplyDeleteMy faveorite word is yass. My least faveorite word is cucumber. I heard this quote before "You can never use up creativity, but creativity will use you up." I think what it means is everyone has creativity from their own identity and you can't lose your identity because it will always be part of you. What turns me off from creativity is when I see people judging someone else. Whether it's art,or not, it turns me off because everything is different and we can't like everything we see or do. My faveorite sound is when there is the slightest breeze, the birds chirping, people quietly talking, and cars passing by. My least faveorite sound is nails on a chalkboard. I have actually tried it and I couldn't hear anything. I might want to be a doctor to help people (and for money). I would not like to work at any place where they treat women un equally or they treat you like a slave.

I think my favorite word would have to be listen. My least favorite being stupid. I think something that inspires me is books or things I think about. Something that makes me uncreative is stress. I feel like when I'm stressed, I can't think. A noise that I like is laughing. A noise that I hate is yelling. I think I would like to be a pilot. Flying in the sky is appealing to me. ReplyDeleteMy favorite word is proud because who doesn't want people to be proud of them? My least favorite word, or words, are cussing, and what inspires me creatively is good books I read right before bed. Then I dream about them (sometimes) and replay the dreams over in my head when I wake up. They help me get through the day, and if it was a really good dream, one where you'd never want to wake up, then when I think about it, it gives me little warm fuzzies. Something that drains all the creativity out of me is writer's block. it's the worst thing ever. My favorite sound is the baby's laughing, and my worst is one of my friends or siblings crying. I would like a well-paid job like a famous author or artist. Then I can afford the things I need without struggling. I would never want to be anything that is dangerous. I don't take risks. What I would like to hear from God when, or if, I get up to Heaven is, About time! What took you so long? then I'd say, Purgatory.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say my favorite word is y'all. I grew up a southern girl, and I will always stay southern at heart. The word y'all reminds me of all the good memories I had in the south. My ABSOLUTE least favorite word is sure. In 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade I got really annoyed with the word sure, I still get annoyed. I was always confused on why sure wasn't spelled like *shure* I asked all of my teachers every year and none of them could answer, so still to this day, I get annoyed with the word sure. I would have to say my Mom helps get my creativity going. She is always inspiring me one way or another. What turns off my creativity is how I am sometimes afraid of what people think of me. I love the sound of rainstorms on tin roofs, just like North Carolina. My least favorite sound would be the blender. It hurts my head and is louder than the fire alarm. I would like to be an orthodontist. I am absolutely fascinated with braces and teeth. I even asked my orthodontist how tools are cleaned and such, and he was kind enough to give me a tour. I would not like to be a trail guide. I CANNOT go near a bug or I start freaking out. I absolutely do not like the outdoors other than the hiking part. When I get to heaven I would love to hear God say, "Your family is here, they are right this way." I think that would be reassuring that my family was there with me and we could live a happy afterlife together.

I hate stress and what it causes a person to do, and say. I love the sound of cheering because it shows the competitiveness in people and how people can come together and cheer for the same thing. My least favorite sound is styrofoam when you crunch it and stuff. I would love to be the boss of some giant world enterprise and just be able to be a fun boss and stuff donuts in my mouth and have people get me fro-yo when I want it! That would be the life! ReplyDeleteMy favorite word is "Thank you" . It makes me feel appreciative when I say it and grateful when I hear it. I also like "God Bless You" when someone sneezes. My least favorite word is "Hate". It is a nasty, distasteful word. What inspires me is a good talk with a class or with a friend. I am also inspire by stories of great human spirit from ordinary people. What takes away my inspiration is irrational fighting and disrespectful actions. We are all here together, working together, it is not that difficult to treat each other with dignity. The sound that I love is laughter. It is contagious. The sound that I hate is arguing. I also do not like the sound of liquid being poured into a glass... I don't know why, but I do.. I would like to be a teacher when I grow up.. I want to be the best teacher possible. I want to inspire students and have students inspire me. I cannot see myself doing anything else the rest of my life. But I am open to new possibilities. I would love it if God, at the gates of heaven would tell me something that starts a conversation. Like if you meat a new person for the first time. What turns me off in all ways and distracts me is the word can't, when I hear someone say it or when I get frustrated and say it. I like the sounds of birds and crickets, especially together. ReplyDeleteI love the word copacetic, which means everything is fine. I love this word because I feel like it represents my life very well. I don't really like the word waddle. It just sounds like a really stupid word. I am inspired by other people. If I watch a movie where someone does something really awesome, it makes me want to do something awesome. I'm also inspired by boredom and just thinking. I'm definitely not inspired when I'm just watching TV or messing around on my phone. I suppose this would be when I'm not present. I love the sizzling sound. I always try to make that sound when I cook, just for the satisfaction. I also love the sound of a baby laughing hysterically, but I hate it when it whines and cries. I would love to be an architect, or serve the country in the Navy, but I think an interesting job would be a bartender, professional photographer, or just always travelling to new places. I would hate to be a roadkill remover. When I die I would want to have God tell me that I have lived a wonderful life. I hate it when people use this word because if they think something is boring they shouldn't even say the word, they should just do something else. Whenever I see someone that has a disadvantage doing something that they have trouble doing, it motivates me to do my absolute best, and then some. Whenever someone complains about something that is totally stupid, it turns me off because I have to tell them, "Worrying does not empty tomorrow of its troubles, it empties today of its strength." I love to hear the sound of waterfalls and a smooth violin. I hate hearing styrofoam against styrofoam, someone scraping their teeth against their fork, and nails on a chalkboard. Something that makes me have the opposite is when I see people pick on someone and that someone doesn't know they are being picked on and the people doing it don't realize it as well. It may sound weird but silence is one of my favorite noises, it helps me to relax. I hate the noise of people rubbing their skin together and when people scratch metal utensils on glass plates. I would like to be a business owner or a job that involves chemistry like a nuclear physicist. I wouldn't want to be doctor because blood makes me nauseous or a builder. ReplyDeleteMy favorite word is confuzzled, it is a mixture of confused and puzzled. I love the way it sounds and how it looks. I use the word all the time especially when I am talking to friends about homework. It is just a really funny word. The word I dislike the most is rural. It is so hard to say, and whenever I try to say it, it sounds like rrruuull. And I have to say it two or three times before it actually sounds remotely like "rrruuull" Something that inspires me creatively, emotionally, and spiritually, is when I see something continuosly. Like everyday when I come to school I go around that circle where you make a "U-turn" kind of to get to Boise. Everyday I look out my window and I see this huge empty lot. One day I decided that it would be a good idea to fill that are with trees. (we are always saying that we need more trees! And that spot will probably never be used for anything else.) What turns me off spiritually, emotionally, and creatively, is when people aren't paying attention or when they tend to judge people then I get frightened, especially when I'm up in front of the class or something like that, I get afraid that I might be boring or that people might think something bad about me. I love the sound of sizzling like when you put cold bacon on a hot pan and it goes ssssssspopsssssss. I hate high pitched shrilling sounds. It sends chills down my back and hurts my head. I would like to attempt to be a doctor. I have had my mind set on this since I was eight years old. When I was really little had had a play doctor set and I would always dress up as the doctor and run around giving people fake shots. I would not want to be in business and have to do graphs and lots of math. I like math though don't get me wrong but doing it for hours on end.... My least favorite word is sad, when someone says that it makes me sad. Things that make my creative mind go wild and my experiences, I love writing about them! Things that off my creative mind off, is when someone gives unuseful feedback. I love the sound of laughter! It shows that people are happy. My least favorite sound is the other teams goal horn it shows that they scored and makes me mad. A job I want to try is a hockey player! It's what I love and will always love! My parents inspire me by telling me what is right from wrong and by helping be to make good decisions and I can always look up to them. What turns me off is when people say "can't". Anyone can do anything and when someone says they can't do something it doesn't make sense to me because you can do anything if you do your best and work your way up. My favorite noise is when someone laughs because it makes me happy and makes me smile. My least favorite word is dumb and stupid because it makes me feel like I am not smart enough even when I know I am. What inspires me for creativity is that I can draw whatever I am feeling at the moment and I can be myself. The thing that turns me off is stress. It makes me worry and then I can't think straight,then it goes downhill from there.I know that someone is happy and I hate when my friends or anyone I know is not happy so I try to make them smile or laugh. The sound that I Hate is scratching on a chalkboard and crying. The reason for crying is because I don't like it when people are sad or hurt. The profession I want to talk is to be a veterinarian or a Marine biologist because ever since I was five I wanted to be a Veterinarian, and I also love helping people/ animals that are in need of my help. The profession I would not want to do is be a taxi driver because all you are doing is driving everywhere and you are not doing anything fun but staring at the road. What I want God to say to me when I am the gate of heaven is “ Welcome Ysabella you made it. Your family is waiting for you.”
ReplyDeleteMy favorite word is Happy. My least favorite word is can't. My friends, family, and religion inspire my creativity. What turns me off is bullying when people are mean to other people. I love the sound of people laughing because it make me smile and feel good. I hate the sound of nails on a chalk board. I don't know what I want to be it is just something that I will figure out when i get older, but owing a restaurant would be cool. I don't want to be something that involves heights or sharks I have a fear of both. I want God to say "Welcome we are all happy for you to be here." Then I would want to meet Jesus and Mary. Then see my grandma, my grandpa, and then my dog.

The things that inspire me to be creative are my friends, family, and school. what turns me off is when either someone I know or myself is bullied or made fun of/ called names. I love the sound of music because it helps me concentrate, and stay happy, then I hate the sound of Styrofoam rubbing together. I haven't thought about what I want to be when I grow up, it would probably be a professional athlete. I know that's a lot to ask for but I have a one in a million chance but as long as there's a chance there's a way. As long as it's not doing something gross or dangerous I'm okay with it. When I get to Heaven, I want to hear God say, " Welcome, we are so happy to see you and so glad to have you here."
