At the end of each year, many people and publications take time to reflect on the significant events which shaped the year. We like to remind ourselves of the inspirational events and people that may have touched our lives. We remember the tragic situations which made us stop and pray. We hold in memory those we have lost and smile at the thoughts of those that made us laugh.
Reflection is important in life. Not to dwell, but to learn. We use past events to find solutions to the problems of today. The following events, both the good and the bad, inspired, baffled, and made me smile.

Ryan-Freedom isn't free-Truly i thought we were all going to die thats why i really wasn't looking for 2012.There were some good and bad things that happen in 2011.To me the death of steve jobs really was significant to me.I really like apples products.That was probably a bad thing that happened. Well a good thing that happened in 2011. Well its kinda good but also bad to be happy about the death of someone. That someone was Osama bin Laden. It was a good thing that he died but its still not right to be happy over someones death.Thing that significant in my life was i lost my ipod =(
ReplyDeleteSena happy 2012- The things that were the most significant things that happened to me was when my grandmother and aunt died.... My aunt was very young and died of cancer. She played an important part of my life. I miss seeing her. Also starting 7th grade. Just because i'll remember jr. high forever. In 2012 I am looking forward to a better soccer season, another season of football, and going to miss use to see my cousin..... Miss.Rhode Island!!! Go 2012

In soccer, my team is playing up, and where last year.Another thing to me was my doggy.One died, then we got a new one later named Daisy.In 2012 i am looking forward for Hallisey. For all the holidays to come by again. To play some sports like: soccer,football, lacrosse, basketball.

my mom fell because of a few heart problems and got a severe concussion.
On the plus side, I got to ride shotgun in the ambulance and made traffic stop for us to get to the hospital!!!

got two major haircuts, going shorter and shorter...
got surgery for bleeding disorder
watched the entire battlestar galactica series *for all who don't know.. an AWESOME sy-fy series* during x-mas break (2003-09 based on the 1978 cheesy& campy version)
I FINALLY grew to 5'0”!!!!!!
Also FINALLY got an iPod (nano, 6th gen)
I was flying alone (NOT for the 1st time) to Portland to see my cousins and this really nice stewardess in the back let me announce the time and city when we landed! (That and she gave me hot chocolate)
I moved up to the advanced math/science group (YES!! ^_^)
this is a ton of stuff from 2011, all of which are important to me, the good, the bad, and the weird!
Also, the release of harry potter 7 pt. 2 WAS AMAZING!!!!! I mean, they left out a ton of stuff, but still amazing!

My B ball team went 29-3 in our tournament and AAU seasons.
I turned thirteen.
I got second place in the science fair
I got my bedroom switched around
I am looking forward to going to Mexico this summer

ReplyDeleteThe two most signifigant things that happened to me were my dog and grandma dying. Even though they were sad events they taught me how to get over deaths. I miss my grandma and my dog but they are in a better place. The things I am looking forward to are visiting my family in Seattle, getting a new dog, and moving up to the big field in baseball. I hope 2012 is better than 2011.
Kordell- K-dog- The most signifigant things that happened for me was that the the Miami Heat having the dream team (my favorite team) and that there is going to be an NBA season this year and the Phil. eagles have the dream team too. My favorite was that the Miami Heat went to the finals but lost. Im looking forward too the Miami Heat going to the Finals this year again and me turning 13 this year.

I've accomplished sooo many personal goals.
I turned thirteen and I'm now a teenager. (Scary HUH????)
I have amazing friends backing me up.
I've made new friends and I've lost some.
I've won a drawing contest and 2nd in an essay contest.
My aunt was diagnosed with cancer.
My dog almost died this summer.
I went to Michigan.
I learned how to rip stick!!!!!!!!!!
All these events mean a lot to me and they make me who I am.
I'm looking forward to:
turning fourteen
Getting my braces off!!! :)
Going to Mexico.
Meeting new people.
And goring up more.
I'm excited to see what life has in store for me and what roads are ahead.
:)
P.S. It awesome getting my braces of cause wouldn't you want them off after 4 years!!!!??????
DANNNNNNNN- My 2011 was good. I went to the Carribean and Mexico for the first time, I finished my last year in Optimist we went 6 and 2, i played my first year in lacrosse and traveled for tournaments, I played lots of basketball like AAU and tournaments in other states, and I made state in golf and got third. My guineau pig died though. He was a great pet that i will always remember and miss. In 2012 i am looking forward to playing in the halissey tournament, playing in basketball tournaments, playing lacrosse and lots of golf, playing TVCS, getting a knew pet, going to Savannah Georgia, and for the Jazz Chargers and USC to all win a championship.
ReplyDeleteAmaia- The most important things that happen to me this year was my grandpa passed away. My aunt (who is secretly my favorite) got married. I took a plane to the south and traveled all around in places and saw things like Burban Street, The Blue Angels, and ate lots of authentic southern food. Quit soccer. I can't wait to visit my cousins in Seattle, go to Jackson Hole and visit back to the south. Im also looking forward to halissey turnament, AAU, and Winter Canival!!!!

I went to California with my cousins and family.
My cousin got the fluffiest, softest bunny you would ever feel in your entire life.
I got a phone.
Went to Twin Falls A LOT.
Did well in basketball. Not so great in volleyball but had lots of fun.
Saw all of my 21 aunts and uncles, 20 cousins, 3 cousin in-laws, 1 2nd cousin, and 1 step-cousin. :)
There are other things that happened but can't think of right now.

These events are most memorable to me because they're what made my year fun. I'm looking forward to a lot of things in 2012 but mostly SUMMER and The Hunger Games coming out and turning 14 and going into 8th grade.
Gabi- I had a great 2011, I spent alot of time with frinds and family. I played volleyball for the first time and made the A team and had alot of fun, i danced so much and our team did great in the competions we went to and we are so excited for competion seaso to start again this febuary. i also started helping teach a dance clas and i love it so much. i also got to spend alot of time with friends from school who i usually dont get to see during the summer. i have also made alot of new friends but had to say goodbye to others and the end of 6th grade. some moments though werent as great as others like saying goodbye to close friends, my dog being missing, but looking back on the 2011 i am soooo excited for 2012. Having all the new people in our class the new building,halissey, dance, and having such a great class friends:)

I met tons of new people that I am happy to call my friends.
I spent tons of time with family and friends.

I have great new teachers.

Stephanie- I had a lot of things happen this year. I had the death of my hamster and my dog. We got two new hamsters! I quit soccer this year and missed bball tryouts! I'm really looking forward to hallasey and spending time with my friends! I can't wait for dance and hip hop
ReplyDeleterobert-um 2011... i slept and i went to school and slept some more then ate and slept some more... now if that was a track of music and you put on replay thats all you would hear... thats how my 2011 went and this year im hoping to sleep go to school participate in mlg and sleep some more... and just cut out the eating part in general... all jokes aside it was one of the best years ive had and i would hope for that to happen again in 2013 when the world doesnt end and all those people who said it will... will be forgotten lost to their own existence in a warphole we call R3AL1TY. then what aliens in 2014?!? keep dreaming crazy people. so in the mean time keep raging and flipping tables

In 2011 alot of great things happened i turned 12, i got an ipod touch, i did really well in soccer, played indoor soccer,hung out with a bunch of my friends, had an awesome summer. For 2012 i want to keep doing well in sports maybe move to competitive soccer, turn 13, go on vacation, and more thats all i can think of now.
